Job Description - Regional Group Manager (Ecommerce Merchandising Unit)
Our client is a market leader in the Retail industry. As part of their omni transformation journey, they are introducing a new OMNI role within the region: Regional Group Manager â Ecommerce Merchandising Unit.
You contribute to added customer value, a strong brand and maximize profitable selling by ensuring enhanced omni customer experience and efficiency for concepts in the region.
You are responsible for leading, motivating, fostering collaboration, and developing the Ecommerce Merchandising unit within Region South Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, India) in an omni direction. You challenge and support Merchandise Managers in setting and driving omni strategy and concept strategy for the region.
You are responsible for setting, in collaboration with the Regional Head of Omni Merchandising, the omni way of working and method in the concept merchandising unit.
You work towards aligned and cross-functional goals, driving omni sales performance, customer base development and customer centricity in all parts of your work.
Key Responsibilities
Maximize profitable net sales and customer base for your region â short and long term.
Drive and contribute to omni net sales â driving the Ecom channel: deep understanding of your regional sales situation through sales and customer behaviour analysis.
Responsible for selling analysis on regional level.
Identify opportunities, threats and set priorities for the region based on biggest sales/customer impact.
Support the omni regional reduction plan to optimise profitable short and long-term selling and customer growth, together with relevant stakeholders in region and Business Units.
Responsible to set omni ways of working and processes for collaborating within the merchandising unit, in collaboration with Regional Head of Omni Merchandising.
Cooperate with other regional functions and set method for omni commercial and customer plans.
Follow up the final customer offer for the markets and apply learnings of coming actions.
Know your customers
Know and understand regional customer behaviour and expectations to drive customer base growth.
Develop and drive regional omni customer and commercial plan based on the overall customer and commercial plans for the company, together with relevant counterparts, ensuring local relevance across whole region.
Follow up and conclude the final customer offer, key learnings and commercial reviews for the region, and apply learnings of coming actions to improve customer offer.
Ensure balance between product and customer activation to optimize stock performance and customer experience.
Collaborate with Demand & Supply Unit, as well as E-commerce Commercial teams, Customer Activation and other relevant functions to ensure strong omni customer experience.
Assortment and stock management from a planning, buying and executional perspective
Support the ecom merchandising unit in driving a commercial buying/assortment strategy for the region to achieve omni growth.
Together with Demand & Supply unit, ensure planning, management and follow up of sales, stock and reduction levels in your region from an omni commercial perspective.
Leadership - lead, motivate and develop your team
Create conditions to enable performance of teams and individuals.
Identify and develop talents in order to build (future) omni organisation and diverse team.
Strengthen team and foster collaboration across channels, roles and functions.
Empower strong collaboration and alignment between channels to become more omni and customer centric.
Requirements
+3 years of experience within Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Assortment office or similar, preferably with Ecom focus and experience
Leadership experience - Strong and proven leadership experience with a focus on building highly performing teams in a dynamic environment
Strong in driving results and constantly improving ways of working
Sales-driven with a strong commercial awareness and salesmanship
P&L/ Sales/ Forecasting knowledge and experience
Planning, buying, stock management experience
Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment and fostering a strong team collaboration
Collaborative, with excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
