Regulatory Compliance (Foreign Full License Bank) PERM ROLE #WorkNow - Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

• Provide Banking Act, FAA and SFA advisory services to relevant departments.
• Provide Banking Act, FAA and SFA updates to relevant departments and impact analysis for implementation.
• Provide Banking Act, FAA and SFA training to internal staffs.
• Conduct compliance reviews and sample checking to identify potential issues and provide advice on rectification.
• Monitor Regulatory Updates: Assess the impact of new or changes in regulations and industry guidelines (ABS) and advise the branch on the implementation of appropriate measures ".
• Review new investment / Capital Markets products and marketing materials to ensure compliance with FAA and SFA.
• Perform the required due diligence screening before the onboarding of new employees.
• Enforce the requirements under the Representative Notification Framework, perform due diligence, prepare relevant regulatory lodgements, review and check for fulfillment of CPD hours by appointed representatives.
• Execute the requirements under the Balanced Scorecard Framework and perform the independent sales audit pursuant to the FAA.
• Assist in the preparation of correspondences with the regulator and other law enforcement agencies.
• Update the Outsourcing Register and follow up with outsourced service owners on required documentations.
• Perform secretarial duties for Customer Complaint Handling Workgroup, and the review and amendment of the accompanying policy.
• Update the Complaint Register and perform investigations into customer complaints where required.
• Assist in matters relating to FATCA, CRS, deposit insurance, and in the required submissions.
• Assist in completion of management reporting and head office reporting.

Requirements:

• Possess a recognised University Degree
• At least 5 years’ experience in Compliance function (banking)
• Good working knowledge of Banking Act, Banking Regulations and MAS Notices as well as Financial Advisers Act, Securities and Futures Act
• AML/CFT work experience would be an advantage
• Possess strong analytical, good interpersonal and communication skills
