Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst

Experience: 12+ years, including 8+ years on banking regulatory reporting.

Must-have skills

Banking and domain

•           MAS regulatory returns, including MAS 610/1003, MAS 637 (capital), MAS 649 (LCR) and MAS 651 (NSFR).

•           Capital (RWA, Basel III/IV) and liquidity reporting; finance data, GL and sub-ledger reconciliation.

•           BCBS 239 data governance: data ownership, lineage and quality controls.

•           AML regulatory reporting and regulator inspection packs.

•           Finance Data Platform, Regulatory Reporting (MAS, PRA, HKMA), Capital Reporting (RWA), Liquidity Reporting (LCR, NSFR, CFMR),

Business and data analysis

•           Attribute-level mapping from source systems to regulatory returns.

•           Rationalising derived measures: definition, formula, grain, owner, lineage and reconciliation rule.

•           Business glossary and data dictionary management.

•           SQL for data profiling and reconciliation.

Delivery and communication

•           Leading reconciliation testing in SIT and UAT.

•           Explaining data lineage and controls to auditors and regulators.

Good-to-have skills

•           PRA or HKMA regulatory returns.

•           Regulatory reporting tools such as AxiomSL, Moody’s or Wolters Kluwer OneSumX.

•           Defining KPI standards for BI platforms.

Certifications (preferred): CBAP; DAMA CDMP; FRM or CA/CPA.
