Job Description - Relationship Manager (Deposits & Cash Management)

Business Development & Portfolio Growth

  • Solicit and develop new corporate customer relationships to grow the portfolio with a strong emphasis on deposit mobilisation, transaction volumes, and cash management revenue.
  • Strengthen engagement with existing clients through regular strategic discussions and analysis of cash‑flow patterns to identify opportunities, increase stickiness of operational accounts, and deepen wallet share across deposits, payments, trade, and FX.
  • Proactively originate new business opportunities by understanding clients’ cash cycles, operational flows, industry dynamics, and treasury requirements.
  • Drive fruitful cross-sell of the Bank’s products, including:
  • Current and savings accounts (CASA)
  • Payments and collections solutions
  • Trade finance loans and FX solutions

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor customers activities (volume, account activity etc), cash flow behaviour and red flag indicators to prevent and minimize undue risk of unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Ensure onboarding and periodic reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
  • Review and ensure all customer documentation is aligned with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Possess awareness and understanding of KYC and AML compliance requirements, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policy guidelines / procedures.
  • Timely and accurate provision of information and responses to internal and external audits.

Data Collection & Process Development

  • Compile and prepare all required documentation to support account onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Ensure client onboarding and periodic reviews are completed accurately, effectively, and within required timelines, with full adherence to internal standards. Produce well‑substantiated write‑ups that clearly articulate key risk considerations and document due‑diligence outcomes.

Customer Engagement & Service Delivery

  • Provide responsive, high-quality relationship management to ensure strong client satisfaction and long-term relationships. Escalate and resolve operational or service issues promptly to maintain customer confidence.
  • Coordinate and follow up on daily transactions with internal stakeholders (e.g. Payment Ops, Branch Ops, Treasury, Legal, Compliance) to ensure smooth and timely execution.
  • Maintain regular communication and conduct client meetings to review business flows, identify improvement areas, and strengthen engagement.
