Job Description - Relationship Manager | Diversified Corporates

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve the allocated KPIs in terms of loans outstanding, income, and NPL ratio.
  2. Market the bank’s products and services to medium and large local and regional corporations, including listed and private companies, trading companies awarded Global Trade Programme status, and family sponsor groups.
  3. Work closely with BEA Head Office and BEA China branches on cross-referrals of customers, and with major corporate banks for invitations to participate in syndicated or club arrangements.
  4. Build rapport with and service existing customers.
  5. Submit credit proposals for new or increased deals.
  6. Monitor and perform timely credit reviews of existing customers.
  7. Close monitoring of NPL accounts and provisions closely.
  8. Cross-sell the bank’s products and services.
  9. Cross-refer prospective customers to other business units.
  10. Ensure compliance with MAS regulations, HKMA regulations, internal BEA Group policies, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing, and reporting of suspicious transactions to Senior Management.

Requirements

  1. Hold a university degree in Accountancy, Business, Economics, or related disciplines.
  2. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, with a focus on relationship management, trade finance, and lending.
  3. Experience covering mid to large corporate clients, with the ability to independently manage relationships and develop accounts.
  4. Strong credit writing skills with keen attention to detail, and the ability to prepare clear, well-structured, and comprehensive credit proposals.
  5. Good understanding of trade finance and working capital solutions, with the ability to support deal origination and execution.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage clients and internal stakeholders confidently.
  7. Self-driven and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing portfolios and delivering outcomes.
  8. Able to work independently while maintaining strong discipline and follow-through in a lean team environment.
