VP of Engineering

We are working with a tech company, and as part of their continued growth, NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a VP of Engineering to join their Singapore team.

The package is competitive at SGD 240k (excluding equity & bonus).

Overview:
We're looking for a hands-on VP of Engineering to drive end-to-end platform development in the low-code "design to code" domain. This includes roadmap prioritization, technical solutioning with PMs, and leading engineering squads. The ideal candidate is passionate about web and app developmentso much so they aim to automate their own codeand enjoys solving complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and build core features like design-to-code generation and plugin architecture.
• Support integrations from Figma, AdobeXD to React, React Native, Next.js, Gatsby, HTML/CSS, Vue, Angular, and explore new stacks like Sketch, Svelte, Flutter.
• Collaborate with founders, Head of Engineering, PMs, and designers to spec and deliver solutions.

• Lead squads, mentor junior engineers, and architect scalable systems.

• Write optimized CSS & JavaScript; resolve cross-browser issues; implement modern development practices.
• Improve platform performance and code quality through testing and feedback loops.

Requirements:

• More than 8 years of engineering experience, including 4+ in technical leadership.
• Strong front-end expertise with experience building UI libraries from scratch.
• Background in fast-paced startups; demonstrated ownership and accountability.
• Deep understanding of CSS, JavaScript, code minification, and optimization.

• Effective communicator and collaborator in remote setups.
