Research Assistant

Job Summary

Support molecular and microbial research by performing microbial culture maintenance and applying molecular biology techniques to generate accurate experimental data.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial culture maintenance to support ongoing research projects
• Design primers and probes for qPCR assays to enable precise gene expression analysis
• Conduct gene alignments and DNA/RNA extraction to prepare samples for molecular testing
• Apply bioinformatics tools to analyze genetic data and interpret research results
• Execute microbiology testing following standard protocols to ensure data reliability
• Demonstrate detailed pipetting skills to maintain experimental accuracy and reproducibility
• Utilize statistical analysis methods to evaluate experimental data and support conclusions
• Work independently as a self-starter to manage assigned tasks and meet research objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science or related field
• 2–3 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome
