Research Assistant (Self Driving Labs)

We are looking for a Research Assistant to develop documentation for self-driving lab hardware and software protocols. The role will focus on ultra-low cost self-driving lab systems, reproducing systems via 3D printing, programming microcontroller firmware, and producing comprehensive documentation to enable replication of these systems.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables

• Configure microcontroller systems such as Arduino units.

• Develop ultra-low cost self-driving labs

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder on self-driving labs

• Assist in grant writing

• Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers

• Assist or Produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings

• Assist with instruction for relevant classes

• Assist with group administration

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor in relevant engineering or science discipline

• At least 1 years of relevant experiences in similar role or technical hands-on experience

• Familiarity with microcontroller programming, 3D printing, or laboratory automation is advantageous

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in programming languages, and strong numerical and analytical abilities

• Excellent time management skills

• Ability to develop solutions under strict timelines

• Meticulous and attention for details
