Research Engineer (MCF Group / AFST Division), SIMTech

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an energetic and motivated research engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an important role in advancing cutting edge manufacturing technologies, as well in helping companies innovate and grow.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide technical know-how and support, as well as plan and conduct experiments to develop novel powder-based manufacturing processes for high performance metal, ceramic and composite products
• Conduct material characterization on microstructure and properties for process optimization and product function demonstration
• Support research and industry projects
• Provide timely project updates to team members and industry collaborators

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science and Engineering
• Basic understanding of powder metallurgy or metal melt materials, processing and characterization
• Interest in hands-on lab-based work
