Research Fellow/Associate (Ref:NHCS/RA/CC)

The National Heart Research Institute Singapore, based at the National Heart Centre Singapore, is offering a job opportunity to work with our Clinician Scientist on a research project investigating metabolic disturbances in patients with diabetes mellitus and heart diseases. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong foundation in biochemistry, metabolism, and prior clinical research experience.

The successful applicant will collaborate with a team to explore and develop new applications utilising advanced hyperpolarised 13C MR techniques in this field. The selected candidate will be offered employment on 1-year renewable contractual terms.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree (MD or PhD) or Masters (MSc) in cardiology or biological sciences such as biochemistry and pharmacological sciences
• Experience in image processing and analysis in cardiac MRI is preferred
• Experience in MR spectroscopy and clean room practices is preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and demonstrate effective collaboration skills
