Resource Support Staff

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Science laboratory resources and materials for lessons, enrichment programmes and competitions.
• Maintain records of laboratory equipment, apparatus and teaching materials.
• Conduct stock-takes and maintain stock and breakage records.
• Assist with replenishment and ordering of laboratory materials.
• Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintain laboratory safety standards.
• Check safety equipment and maintain first-aid supplies.
• Maintain laboratory incident records and report incidents to the Science HOD.
• Carry out housekeeping, filing and general maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Perform other duties assigned by the School.

Requirements:

• Minimum N-Level or equivalent.
• Able to speak and write in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new IT skills.
• Science laboratory management or resource support experience is preferred.
• School experience is an advantage.

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) Jan 2027 to Dec 2027)

Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays: 7am to 5pm, Wednesdays and
Thursdays: 7am to 4.30pm, inclusive of one (1) hour lunch break. On
occasions when the School closes early, staff may be directed or
permitted to leave prior to the standard end time. Daily working hours
remain subject to adjustment at the School's discretion based on
operational needs, provided overall total working hours are
maintained.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
