Job Description - Revenue & Reservations Manager

COMO Metropolitan Singapore is located in the heart of Singapore on Bideford Road. It is part of COMO Orchard, COMO Group’s newest immersive experience building which is the most complete iteration yet of the vision that brings together COMO Group’s hospitality, fashion, wellness and cuisine into one inspiring location. COMO Metropolitan Singapore’s 156 rooms and suites are spread over 11 floors with a rooftop pool bar that is exclusively for hotel guests. Job Summary

  • Responsible for the global strategy and day-to-day implementation of all revenue action plans to maximise hotels' revenue and profitability
  • Integrate synergies and ensure alignment in revenue, sales, distribution and marketing channels to drive revenue for the hotel
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and drive a strong revenue culture focused on total revenue maximisation
  • Maintain an oversight on the overall pricing structure in line with the strategic objective of the properties under management

Job Scope:

  • Responsible for effective implementation, maintenance and compliance with the Revenue Management policies and standards. Effectively use the various systems and tools to drive revenue
  • In-depth understanding of the revenue management tools, and technology applied to develop guest room pricing and distribution strategy recommendations for each property. This must include all market segments and distribution channels to maximise yield through segment and channel mix management, inventory, seasonality and rates
  • Closely monitor competitive pricing, understand impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance and comp set pricing strategy to maximise opportunities to yield
  • Clearly communicate a strategic vision and objectives on how to drive revenue and improve performance to property team
  • Responsible for the evaluation, liaison and selection of 3rd party revenue and distribution vendors such as Channel Management systems, Rate shopping tool, STR Reports etc. and take ownership in ensuring regular review, maintenance of access rights and coordination of users training
  • Carry out quarterly audits on the COMO Booking Engine and Third-Party Websites, ensuring rates, rate sequencing, images, content and room descriptions are up to date, accurate and consistent across all electronic distribution channels
  • Conduct regular revenue audits of properties including hotel and CompSet visitations, to ensure standards are being achieved in the following areas: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modeling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay; inventory availability by channels and pricing control
  • Support the hotel's annual budget process with the development of key statistical reports to validate property's strategies and revenue projections

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Reservations PMS, ensuring allotments, events dates, packages are loaded correctly
  • Maintain rate loading and ensure the accuracy of rates loaded against contract conditions
  • Maximising opportunities as they become available to the reservation sales area
  • Ensure the accuracy of reservations data is maintained, specifically with regard to tracking agent & company productivity, channels & source coding. Report on holdings, occupancy, group blocks as required
  • Maintain and process accurate travel agent commission payments
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings and attend weekly revenue sales meetings with the Front Office and Sales Team and present pertinent information on group holdings, forecast figures and occupancy trends
  • Provide constructive feedback on guest enquiries and conversions, with a view to providing accurate data for the sales team and General Manager
  • Lead effective communication with the Sales department with respect to sales leads and special promotions
  • Update other departments and work closely with all other rooms departments to maximise occupancy
  • Liaise with Department Heads to ensure timeliness of room availability and attention to guests special requirements. Ensure efficient and effective inter-department interaction within the hotel at all level
  • Support and assist the Front Office team to ensure they are fully conversant with reservations procedures
  • Monitor the quality of reservations made by Front Office team members. Motivate the Front Office team to contribute to the hotel profitability through up selling and utilisation of the workings of yield manager
  • Represent the department at appropriate meetings, attend guest functions and to represent the hotel when necessary at hotel functions and familiarisations
  • Achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and exceeds the expectations of guests and team members
  • Ensure the presentation of neat, clean and functionally operating departments. Manage the hotel's assets in reservations as to protect their long-term investment value
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures
  • Undertake any other work-related tasks which may reasonably be required from time to time as requested by Senior Management
