Risk Analyst

Job Summary

The Risk Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing risk exposure within the futures trading team, supporting the broader commodity and global markets business. Key duties include overseeing settlement processes and preparing accurate profit and loss (P&L) reports to ensure effective risk management and operational integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare daily profit and loss (P&L) reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Liaise with brokers and clearing banks on settlement processes, including reconciling discrepancies and resolving settlement issues.
• Monitor positions and margins of each book, assess risk exposure associated with futures trading activities, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with trading teams to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

Job Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree (any discipline).
• Strong data analytical and statistical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of the Chinese market is an advantage.
