Risk Management and Sustainability Manager - Hiring Urgently

Job Responsibilities:

Enterprise Risk Management:

1. Develop a good understanding of the institution’s operating functions and process workflows via continuous risk assessments
2. Act as the risk advisor to various operating departments and promote risk awareness and accountability 
3. Work with internal stakeholders to plan and implement Control Self-Assessment (CSA) exercises to assess the effectiveness of risk management and control processes.
4. Oversee non-clinical incident reporting and risk management system to escalate and track incidents, feedback, and near-misses.
5. Provide training and educational programs on risk management practices to promote a culture of safety, quality, and risk awareness among staff at all levels.
6. Provide secretariat support for Risk Management Committee meetings.
7. Assist in ad-hoc projects, investigations, and administrative duties, where required.

Environmental Sustainability:

1. Develop and implement an environmental sustainability strategy
2. Lead the identification and support of ground-up initiatives including performing feasibility and scalability studies of the initiatives.
3. Identify and assess sustainability risks and opportunities within operating departments as part of enterprise risk management.
4. Promote a culture of sustainability through a staff engagement program by organising talks, workshops, and awareness events to empower staff to contribute to sustainability initiatives.
5. Stay current on environmental sustainability best practices/green technology
6. Monitor progress and report on the outcomes of sustainability initiatives.
7. Provide secretarial support

Job Requirements:

• Possess a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant working experience in risk management, internal control, and compliance preferably in the hospital and healthcare industry.
• Prior experience in sustainability, or ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roles will be an advantage.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
• Good project management skills and comfortable working with figures and details.
• Experience in data analytics would be considered favourably.
• Energetic and able to analyse complex issues to identify root causes and recommend practical remediation measures.
