Risk Management Manager

We are seeking a suitable and qualified candidate to fill the position of Risk Management Manager. The incumbent will report directly to the Head of Risk Management Department and will be providing support to the Department Head in preparing risk management reports used for monitoring the risk position, performance evaluation and checking of compliance with established limits and guidelines and checking the reports to identify any notable excesses in Market and Liquidity Risk area. He/she will be assisting the Department Head in the preparation and submission of reports to the Head Office in Japanese language and liaise with Head Office in Japanese language.

He/she develop, review and enhance risk-related reports to provide better support to management and perform regular review and to enhance workflow and procedures to comply with internal and external regulations.

He/she will also provide the support to the Department Head in promoting Integrated Risk Management of the branch such as managing Risk Appetite Framework, and implement various measures for branch operations not limited to the risk management area in cooperation with the Head Office in Japan.

Applicants should possess a degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accountancy with about 4 years’ experience in market and liquidity risk management in banking industry. In addition, experience with about 3 years’ market transaction operations including CVA calculation and collateral management is a further plus. The incumbent need to be familiar and have a good understanding of the business culture of Japanese organizations and Japanese business process. Proficiency in Japanese language is required in view of frequent liaison and reporting to Head Office in Japanese. He/she must also possess strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Overseas travel may be required.

Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
