PositionSummary

The RTD Rules Consultant will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment of Real Time Dispatching rules within the FAB's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) / Dispatching environment. The consultant will work closely with Industrial Engineering, Automation, andProcess Integration teams to translate complex FAB operational requirements into robust, high-performing RTD rule sets that improve throughput, cycle time, and tool utilization across multiple process modules.

KeyResponsibilities

RTD Rules Development

•     Design, develop, and maintain RTD rules to support dispatch decision logic across multiple FAB modules (e.g., litho, etch, diffusion, CMP, thin film).

•     Translate business and engineering requirements into rule-based logic within the RTD/dispatching system.

•     Develop and refine dispatch priority schemes to balance lot priority, due-date performance, and operational constraints.

•     Develop chamber and tool matching/optimization rules to maximize equipment utilization and minimize idle time.

•     Analyze tool and chamber qualification data to build optimized dispatch and load-balancing logic.

•     Collaborate with equipment engineering to align rules with chamber-level constraints and preventive maintenance schedules.

•     Design and implement Q-time control rules to manage inter-operation time constraints and minimize scrap/rework risk.

•     Monitor and tune Q-time alerts and escalation logic to ensure compliance with process specifications.

System Integration, Testing& Support

•     Perform unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing(UAT) of RTD rule changes prior to production deployment.

•     Support the go-live, hyper care, and stabilization phases of RTD rule deployment.

•     Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to dispatch logic, rule conflicts, or system performance.

•     Document rule specifications, logic flows, test cases, and change management records in accordance with Customer and SEMI Integration standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

•     Work closely with FAB Industrial Engineering,Automation, Process Integration, and MES teams to gather requirements.

•     Provide technical consultation and recommendations on dispatching strategy and continuous improvement opportunities.

•     Participate in project status meetings and provide regular progress updates to SEMI Integration and Customer VIVSM stakeholders.

RequiredQualifications & Experience

•     Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering,Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

•     Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Real TimeDispatching (RTD) rules development within a semiconductor wafer FAB environment.

•     Proven experience with dispatch priority logic, chamber-to-tool optimization, and Q-time control rule development.

•     Strong understanding of semiconductor FAB manufacturing processes and module-level operational constraints (e.g., litho, etch, diffusion, CMP, implant, thin film).

•     Experience with MES/dispatching platforms such as RTD,APF, Flex Sched, or equivalent FAB scheduling/dispatching systems.

•     Proficiency in rule scripting/configuration languages associated with RTD systems (e.g., Java, C++, SQL, or vendor-specific rule languages).

•     Solid understanding of FAB data systems including MES,EAP/EI, and SPC/APC integration points.

•     Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trouble shooting skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

•     Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

•     Good communication and documentation skills in English and Chinese.

PreferredQualifications

•     Prior experience working Semiconductor Wafer FAB environments.

•     Experience with FAB simulation or scheduling optimization tools.

•     Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies applied toFAB dispatching and cycle-time improvement.

•     Prior consulting or technical services experience within a systems integrator environment.
