Safety Manager (MNC/ Chemical Plant) - Continuous Learning Opportunities

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure updates to plant process safety and oversee the management of the Safety Case as per MHI regulations.
• Lead Safety Case-related tasks in accordance with MHI Regulations.
  Supervise and control the budget and spending for Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH).
• Authorize the procurement of consumables and equipment.
• Ensure the Company's adherence to legal, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
• Provide support for major shutdown activities.
• Maintain the legal register to monitor compliance.
• Coordinate and oversee annual assessments (e.g., stacks, IHM, Noise assessments).
• Organize health assessments for employees.
• Lead the Environmental Aspect Identification (EAI) and Risk assessment program for process-related modifications.
• Manage ESH-related Work Procedures / Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handle ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Develop, review, and update related procedures / SOPs.
• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders on ESH matters.
• Inform authorities about licensing requirements for modifications or increases in hazardous substance quantities.
• Conduct incident investigations and report non-conformances to authorities.
• Supervise all ESH training within the Company.
• Arrange both internal and external training related to ESH.
• Take responsibility for staff development and training to ensure optimal competency.
• Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions with employees.
• Monitor employee performance.
