Job Description - Sales Director APAC

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive regional growth across the Asia Pacific market for advanced connectivity and digital technology solutions.

This senior leadership role will oversee business development, strategic account growth, and team performance across multiple APAC locations, with a strong emphasis on the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regional sales strategy and execution for satellite connectivity, managed IT, cybersecurity, and digital vessel solutions across APAC.
  • Manage and mentor sales and sales support teams based in Singapore and North Asia to achieve revenue and performance targets.
  • Develop and grow key customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Drive sales across a wide portfolio including:
    • VSAT and broadband connectivity solutions
    • L-band and next-generation low earth orbit (LEO) services
    • Managed IT infrastructure and network support
    • Cybersecurity solutions
    • Vessel digitalisation services such as CCTV, crew welfare systems, and onboard IT platforms
  • Maintain and expand both direct sales channels and indirect partner/distributor networks.
  • Build and execute channel development strategies to strengthen regional market reach.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for leadership review.
  • Represent the business in client meetings, industry events, and regular regional travel.
  • Work closely with internal teams including engineering, operations, customer success, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to regional sales reviews and strategic planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales within satellite communications, maritime technology, or related connectivity sectors.
  • At least 8 years in a leadership or team management capacity.
  • Proven experience selling:
    • Maritime satellite connectivity solutions
    • LEO / GEO communication services
    • Managed IT / cybersecurity solutions
    • Value-added digital vessel services
  • Strong track record in both direct enterprise sales and channel / partner sales.
  • Deep understanding of the maritime industry and regional customer landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-driven, commercially astute, and able to work independently.
