Job Description - Sales Director, Thailand - Leading Global Asset Manager (Singaporebased)
A highly respected global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead retail wealth distribution for the Thailand market. This position is based in Singapore and will play a critical role in expanding the firm’s presence across key wealth distribution channels in Thailand. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales professional with deep Thailand retail network coverage, strong technical understanding of investment products, and a track record of raising assets across distributors. The successful individual will have significant autonomy and revenue responsibility, while collaborating closely with regional leadership and cross‑functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and execute the firm’s Thailand retail distribution strategy to achieve sustainable market share and AUM growth.
Deepen and expand relationships with banks, securities firms, asset managers, and wealth platforms in Thailand.
Lead commercial negotiations, platform onboarding, product positioning, and new product launch discussions.
Deliver strong net new flows through disciplined territory coverage and strategic account planning.
Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with key decision‑makers, product gatekeepers, and distributor leadership.
Monitor competitive and market trends to refine sales strategy and identify new opportunities.
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to distributor needs (both in-person and virtual).
Collaborate closely with internal teams including product, marketing, operations, and regional sales leadership to ensure seamless client experience.
Oversee RFPs, due‑diligence reviews, and distribution partner queries with professionalism and accuracy.
Maintain rigorous CRM discipline and pipeline management standards.
Requirements
8–15 years of relevant experience in fund distribution, retail wealth coverage, or intermediary sales in an established asset management or investment management firm.
Demonstrated track record of asset raising and business development success in the Thailand wealth market.
Strong network and established relationships across Thailand retail channels.
Deep understanding of investment products and the Thailand wealth distribution landscape.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Thai is advantageous given market engagement.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building capabilities.
Ability to thrive as a senior individual contributor while working collaboratively within a regional framework.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to Singapore (if not already based there).
