Job Description - SALES MANAGER

A Sales Manager In Trading Company

We have 3 outlets running Minimart 

Retail and wholesale Grocerries

Drives an organization's revenue by leading, mentoring, and scaling a sales team

They are responsible for setting quotas, developing go-to-market strategies, analyzing sales metrics, and ensuring the team has the training and resources needed to close deals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage sales representatives. Conduct one-on-one coaching and performance reviews.
  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Performance Analysis: Track sales pipelines, analyze conversion metrics, and adjust tactics based on market data.
  • Account Management: Oversee key client relationships, negotiate high-value contracts, and resolve any escalated customer complaints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with marketing for campaigns, and relay market/product feedback to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: Typically 5 years sales experience with a proven history of meeting quotas.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong capability in analyzing CRM data and market trends to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Handle complex customer enquiries.
  • Lead follow-up with clients to close sales.
  • Manage sales channels and database of sales leads.
  • Participate in relevant industry events for networking.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to clients.
  • Propose recommendations to form and allocate sales teams.
  • Propose sales channels and network expansion plans.
  • Qualify sales leads.
  • Relay customer feedback and market sentiments to internal stakeholders to enhance products and services.
  • Review recommendations of products and services to match clients' needs.
  • Support official responses to client dissatisfaction of products and services delivery.
  • Proven work experience in Sales
    Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
    Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and operations marketing, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation and Conflict management
  • Relevant work experience is preferred
  • Able/ willing to work on Weekends/ Public holidays is an advantage.
