Job Summary:
We are looking for a Salesforce Data Cloud Functional Consultant with strong hands-on development capability, proven pre-sales and delivery leadership experience, and a solid understanding of business processes and customer data use cases. This role is ideal for a techno-functional profile with at least 6 years of Salesforce experience, and a successful track record in Data Cloud implementation.

The ideal candidate will lead client-facing discussions, guide project delivery, and contribute to solution design and execution. They will also provide support for pre-sales, act as Team Lead on delivery engagements and collaborate cross-functionally to configure Data Cloud components—such as data streams, identity resolution, calculated insights, and segment activation.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Solutioning, Client Engagement, and Pre-Sales Support
  • Lead discovery workshops focused on Customer 360, personalization, and segment targeting
  • Translate business needs into actionable Data Cloud configurations (segments, insights, identity rules)
  • Advise clients on best practices for leveraging Data Cloud across various Salesforce Clouds
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including proposal writing, solution design, and demo walkthroughs
  • Support UAT, enablement, and handover to client teams post-go-live
  • Participate in RFPs, pitches, and solutioning discussions with internal and external stakeholders

Hands-On Technical Configuration
    • Build and configure: Data Streams from internal and external sources, Identity Resolution rules and entity match logic, Calculated Insights to generate key business metrics, Segments and activation flows to Salesforce, Commerce, or ad platforms
  • Troubleshoot data flow, unification, or segmentation issues
  • Collaborate with developers, integration teams (e.g., MuleSoft), and architects

Team Leadership & Project Delivery
  • Act as Team Lead in Salesforce Data Cloud projects—supporting effort estimation, task planning, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate work across functional consultants, developers, and offshore teams
  • Ensure quality delivery and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements & Key Skillsets:
  • Minimum 6 years of Salesforce experience, with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Data Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud components, including Data Streams configuration, Identity Resolution rule setup, Calculated Insights using SQL-style queries, Segment creation and activation flows
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, customer lifecycle use cases, segmentation logic, and data unification
  • Functional knowledge of insurance or financial services workflows
  • Experience in at least one additional Salesforce module, such as: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, or FSC for Insurance (SFI)
  • Ability to operate as both a functional lead and hands-on builder
  • Proven experience in supporting pre-sales activities, proposal development, and early-stage solutioning
  • Experience leading or mentoring small-to-mid-sized project teams
  • Strong business communication, stakeholder management, and agile delivery skills
  • Familiarity with: JSON, data mapping, and external ID strategy, Data governance, consent models, or marketing activation flows
  • Developer/technical proficiency, including:
    • Basic knowledge of Apex, SOQL, or LWC for integration and activation scenarios
    • Understanding of APIs, event streaming, or MuleSoft flows
    • Ability to debug segmentation and ingestion issues within Data Cloud
  • Salesforce certifications preferred (e.g., Data Cloud Consultant, Admin, App Builder)
  • Experience working on Agentforce projects is a plus
