Working hours: 9 am to 6 pm, Mondays to Fridays

Worked outside stated hours: the candidate can claim OIL and taxi expenses if no public transport is available, subject to client approval.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled SAP HANA High Availability Engineer to support the design, setup, and maintenance of highly available SAP HANA database environments running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

The role focuses on ensuring system reliability, availability, and compliance, working closely with SAP Basis and Infrastructure teams in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement High Availability (HA) solutions for SAP HANA on RHEL

• Configure and support Linux clustering and failover mechanisms

• Maintain system availability through regular testing and validation

• Support planned maintenance and unplanned failover activities

• Troubleshoot HA related issues and support incident resolution

• Prepare and maintain operational documentation and runbooks

• Collaborate with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams

Role Scope & Collaboration

• Works closely with SAP Basis teams for application and database activities

• Partners with Infrastructure teams for platform, network, and system support

• Supports both project implementation and operational (BAU) activities

Required Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT discipline

• 3–5 years of experience in Linux system administration

• Hands on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

• Experience supporting high availability or clustered systems

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Exposure to SAP HANA environments

• Experience with Linux HA or enterprise systems

• Familiarity with large scale or regulated IT environments

• Experience working with infrastructure and middleware teams

Certifications (Preferred)

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher

• SAP related or Linux professional certifications
