Science Lab Assistant

(1) Teaching & Learning at Science Laboratories (1 and 2)

a. Prepare experimental set-ups in Science Labs according

to lab procedures & protocols.

b. Prepare specimens and samples for investigative

activities.

c. Organise and maintain lab apparatus, equipment and

teaching resources.

d. Assist to order science lab supplies.

e. Ensure that safety guidelines in Science Laboratories are

followed

f. Maintain the cleanliness of Science Laboratores by

performing basic cleaning and mopping.

g. Assist in stock-taking of lab apparatus & equipment.

(2) Teaching and Learning for Applied Learning Programme (ALP)

under Science Department

a. Co-ordinate with vendor to maintain the ALP projects in

school.

b. Assist in the preparation required for ALP lessons

conducted for P3, P4, P5 and P6 students.

(3) Administrative work in School

a. Prepare & organise hands-on resources for Science/ALP

events.

b. Organise teachers desk copies for distribution at

beginning of year and perform stock-taking at end of the

year.

c. Help with administrative work like sorting of documents

and assist in school events.

d. Carry out filing and scanning of documents and exam

papers. During the examinations, he or she must also

help with the packing and counting of papers.

(4) Any other tasks as assigned by the School Leaders and HOD

(Science).

Requirement:

Minimally completed Secondary 2
Proficient in English
Have at least 2 years experience with Science laboratory
preparation in Schools.

Duration /Working hours:

10 months contract (Option to extend another 10 months) 30 Jun 2205 to 29 May 2026

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 2:30pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break
Service not required for school holidays
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
