SCIENCE LAB ASST. IN SCHOOL

Job scope and qualification:

A) Upkeep and prepare resources for lessons in the Sc. Lab., Math Room and Thinkering Corner.

B) Maintain and upkeep teaching and learning resources in these rooms.

C) Ensure that materials and resources are properly kept, maintained and available for usage when it is required.

D) Responsible for the gen. decor, safety and cleanliness of the rooms.

E) Be able to advise Teachers and Students on the range of resources in the 3 rooms and their location in these rooms.

F) Keep a record of damages/Faulty equipment, materials and resources.

G) Records of when the equpment has been serviced or requires servicing.

H) Help in School's programme e.g. Sc. Practical Test, Hydroponics and gardening programmes.

I) Maintaining gen. safety of these rooms. Equipment complies with regulations in the Safety Handbook. Be familiar with SOP in the event of an emergency and involved in safety audits.

J) Conduct stocktake of resources in these rooms and keep stocks available in the respective rooms. Identify equipment to be made redundant).

K) Any other duties as directed by School leaders and head of Depts.
