Job Description - Securities & Derivatives Analyst (1 year contract) | up to 4,000 basic

The Securities & Derivative Analyst, you will support the processing of orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices, working closely with the Operations Transaction Services team. This role is responsible for assisting with the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

Verify trades to ensure accurate booking requests.
Generate and match trade confirmations based on ISDA templates.
Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time.
Address transaction processing issues and collaborate on solutions.
Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention as per policies.
Prepare and submit internal and external regulatory reports.
Participate in General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises.
Ensure risk is appropriately assessed in business decisions and adhere to compliance standards, safeguarding the firm’s reputation, clients, and assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
1-4 year experience working in financial institutions will be an added advantage
Basic understanding of Treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-risk environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in excel (VLOOKUP and pivot table)
