Security Officer - Retail Showroom

We are looking for a responsible, vigilant and customer-oriented Security Officer to join our Singapore Showroom team.

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers, employees and visitors, while safeguarding the Company's premises, merchandise and assets.

The role will also support daily showroom operations, including crowd and queue management, entrance and exit control, receipt verification, loss prevention and monitoring of security systems.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and professionalism, with the ability to manage customer interactions effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Security & Loss Prevention

• Monitor showroom entrances and exits to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees and company assets.


• Conduct receipt verification at designated exit checkpoints, ensuring purchased items and quantities match the receipts in accordance with company procedures.


• Remain vigilant against potential theft, suspicious activities and other security risks, and promptly report incidents to the supervisor.


• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms and other security equipment, where authorised and trained.


• Conduct routine security checks of the showroom premises and report potential safety hazards, damaged facilities or unusual occurrences.


• Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies and safety concerns in accordance with established procedures.

Crowd & Traffic Management

• Manage customer queues, crowd flow and access control at the showroom entrance, particularly during high-traffic flash sales events.


• Ensure orderly entry and exit of customers while maintaining a safe and comfortable shopping environment.


• Assist in implementing crowd management measures during major sales events, product launches and peak shopping periods.


• Support the enforcement of showroom rules and shopping guidelines in a professional and courteous manner.

Customer Service & Operational Support

• Provide basic assistance and directions to customers while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.


• Politely remind customers to comply with showroom shopping guidelines and safety procedures.


• Work closely with the showroom Operations team to ensure smooth daily operations.


• Maintain accurate records and report security incidents, irregularities, facility damage or other operational concerns to the supervisor.


• Perform other security-related and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Possess a valid Security Officer licence issued by the Singapore Police Force (SPF), with the necessary training and qualifications to perform security duties in Singapore.


• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant security experience, ideally in a retail, shopping mall, showroom or customer-facing environment.


• Experience in crowd control, queue management, access control and loss prevention is an advantage.


• Good observational skills, situational awareness and ability to respond calmly to unexpected situations.


• Responsible, reliable, disciplined and trustworthy, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.


• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact politely with customers and colleagues.


• Physically able to perform duties requiring prolonged standing and movement around the showroom.


• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.


• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, based on showroom operational requirements.
