DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards,

and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

The role requires strong technical expertise, and hands-on experience in managing full set accounts.

This role will report to the Head of Finance

As the Senior Accountant, you will:

Financial Reporting & Closing

• Prepare and review full set of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, Inventory movement and fixed assets management

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/MFRS)

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., SST filings, SToDS refund request, tax filings, TPD, audit requirements)

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities

• Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts

• Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis

• Support management reporting with insightful financial analysis

Cashflow & Treasury

• Monitor cash flow position and prepare cash flow forecasts

• Ensure timely payments and collections, in close relationships with AR and AP specialists

• Manage banking matters and review reconciliations

Process Improvement & Controls

• Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements

• Support implementation or migration of accounting systems / tools

Team Support

• Coordinate task allocation during peak periods (eg. Closing, audit) with AR and AP specialists

• Review work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Senior Accountant :

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
• Proven experience in managing full sets of accounts, month-end and year-end closing activities, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on exposure to external audits, taxation, SST, SToDS, Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD), and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS and relevant accounting regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
