Senior Accountant / Accountant (AR-Lab Billing), Finance

As a member of our Account Receivables – Lab Billing Team, you will serve as a custodian to communicate and liaise with external customers and laboratory departments’ personnel on billing related issues and contract administration matters.

You will also provide optimal accounting support to the laboratory departments to enable them to operate efficiently and effectively.

Additionally, you will work with multi-disciplinary stakeholders in the discovery process to develop, implement and maintain solutions / initiatives to enhance and optimize existing operational workflow, in tandem with SGH’s drive towards transformative and automated processes.

Your job roles will include but not be limited to the followings: -

• Manage the accounts receivables of laboratory services, debt monitoring, monthly revenue accruals and statutory audits.
• Responsible for proper financial accounting and reconciliation of accounts receivable balances, month-end accounts closing and other related accounting entries.
• Provide financial information and financial action proposals to management by preparing and analyzing accounting data and reports.
• Prepare and analyze data statistics as required by organization’s operational needs (e.g. overall workload volume, billing accuracy, trend analysis, etc.).
• Provide guidance to subordinates on operational issues (e.g. accounting entries, bill queries, workflow flaws, etc.), with proper resolution to attain optimal operational efficiency.  
• Assists in other projects or tasks as assigned by supervisors, targeted towards achieving SGH’s priorities.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or degree holder (major in Accountancy or Finance) and with 4 years of experience
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• A good team player with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
