Job Summary

Lead architectural design projects by preparing plans, managing budgets, coordinating teams, and mentoring staff to ensure high-quality, compliant outcomes that meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare detailed architectural plans, specifications, and cost estimates to guide project execution and budgeting
• Develop accurate drawings, models, and design documents to support architectural proposals and client presentations
• Conduct client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and incorporate client feedback for project refinement
• Facilitate clear communication and coordination among team members and external consultants to ensure project alignment
• Lead and monitor the architectural design team to deliver projects on time and meet quality standards
• Manage project budgets and maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants to support project success
• Coordinate with technical teams to prepare comprehensive progress reports and address project issues
• Present design projects for formal review and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
• Select appropriate materials and liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and availability for construction needs
• Prepare performance specifications and technical documentation to comply with architectural standards
• Organize client and technical meetings, accurately record minutes, and track action items for timely follow-up
• Maintain organized project records to support transparency and efficient team collaboration
• Mentor junior team members to develop skills and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture (BArch/MArch) or equivalent degree
• Fluent proficiency in English to communicate effectively in client and team interactions; Mandarin is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of architectural practice experience, including large-scale project involvement
• Knowledge of project processes, fee management, and budgeting to manage financial aspects of projects
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD/Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage teams and projects effectively
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Possession of an architectural license (preferred but not essential for core duties)
• Experience in design, construction, and project management to enhance project delivery
• Understanding of project coordination and financial management to support comprehensive project oversight
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior architects to foster team development and knowledge transfer
