Senior / Assistant, Health Safety & Environment - Exciting Challenge

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all safety coordination among SCA and SMAG complex internal/external parties and provide safety guidance to team members for related works. You will work in a team-oriented environment where individual will be self-motivated and passionate to keep abreast of local safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of overall Company and Complex fire fighting facilities
• Maintenance of Complex ERT equipment and monthly testing ERT system
• Responsible of management of Company PPE and first aid items and their inventory records
• Responsible for management of safety signage for complex and coordination for servicing of safety equipment
• Involve in monthly plant emergency drills arrangement and reports
• Involve in Shut-Down Maintenance works which includes inspection for compliance of in-house safety rules and enforcement
• Involve in Complex Building 5S activities/projects and safety promotion
• Involve in monthly admin HSE committee meeting and inspection
• Involve in the HSE positive intervention plan and other safety matter
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned for (waste management and SAP matter)

Requirements:
• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with an advanced WSH certificate and above is preferred
• At least 2 years working experience in HSE field, preferably in the chemical industry
• Experience and good knowledge of HSE, emergency equipment and fire fighting facilities
• A team player with good interpersonal skill and communication skill
• Possess strong initiatives and positive working attitudes
• Effective team coordinator to cope with executing multiple tasks within planned schedule.
• Proficient in MS Office especially in Excel and Word
• Applicants able to commence work immediately or within short notice period will be an added advantage
