About Department and Purpose of the Position


The National University Centre for Trauma is seeking a passionate and driven Operations Manager to lead our multidisciplinary team in delivering life-saving care and advancing trauma services. Key Responsibilities


Key roles & responsibilities include:-



  • Plan, lead and coordinate the Centre’ operations, ensuring seamless patient flow and optimal resource allocation

  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and champion clinical excellence across all trauma services

  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health and admin professionals to develop and implement best practices

  • Engage with stakeholders (including government agencies, community partners, and internal teams) to enhance trauma care capabilities and advance community outreach, injury prevention, and public engagement efforts

  • Oversee training and development programs for staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation

  • Manage compliance with regulatory requirements and support accreditation processes

  • Play a pivotal role in emergency preparedness and response planning


 


Strategic Planning & Transformation



  • Support the development and execution of Centre’s strategy aligned to cluster and national priorities including: 

  • Leading key strategic planning for trauma masterplan 

  • Translate strategy into clear operational plans, KPIs, and measurable outcomes

  • Provide secretariat and thought partnership for high-level work groups / committees / forums 


 


Operations & System Development



  • Partner clinical and operational leaders to design, implement, and scale integrated trauma care workflows  

  • Drive end-to-end optimisation of the trauma patient journey, focusing on timeliness, outcomes, and patient experience 

  • Lead operational readiness and scaling of the Centre’s programmes (e.g. trauma services, survivorship initiatives, regional network coordination) 

  • Identify gaps and implement innovative models of care delivery, including cross-institution coordination


 


Data Analytics & Innovation 



  • Develop and operationalise data dashboards and analytics frameworks to track trauma outcomes, utilisation, and system performance 

  • Translate complex operational and clinical data into actionable insights 

  • Support the use of predictive analytics and digital tools to improve patient flow, resource allocation, and service planning 

  • Drive a culture of data-informed decision making across stakeholders

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency, clinical coordination, and patient outcomes


 


Community Engagement & Outreach



  • Lead and coordinate community outreach and public education efforts on injury prevention and trauma awareness

  • Support development of national platforms such as National Injury Prevention Conference

  • Partner external stakeholders (e.g. community agencies, schools, ministries) to strengthen injury prevention and outreach ecosystem

  • Translate clinical and operational insights into population-level impact initiatives


 


Financial & Resource Planning



  • Support business planning, budgeting, and resource optimisation for the Centre’s initiatives 

  • Contribute to development of new service models and programme funding proposals 

  • Ensure alignment between financial sustainability and service excellence goals


 


Secondary Responsibilities and Duties



  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and governance standards

  • Support department-level operations, reporting, and coordination


 


Key Requirements



  • Bachelor degree from a recognised institution

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills 

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skillPositive, motivated and able to perform under pressure independently

  • Highly driven with a strong sense of ownership and initiative 

  • Comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments 

  • Passion for healthcare innovation, transformation, and population health impact

  • Competent in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Power Automate, Power Query and etc.)
