Senior Base Metals Trader

Our client is an emerging metals trading platform seeking an experienced Base Metals Trader to play a key role in building and expanding its trading franchise.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial trading professional to join a growing business and contribute directly to the development of its commercial strategy, market presence and trading performance.

1. Develop and manage trading activities across global base metals markets.
2. Identify and execute profitable physical and/or paper trading opportunities.
3. Build and maintain relationships with producers, consumers, traders, brokers and logistics partners.
4. Monitor market fundamentals, trade flows, inventory developments and macroeconomic trends.
5. Originate new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the firm's trading franchise.
6. Manage market exposure and trading risk within agreed mandates.
7. Work closely with management to develop trading strategies and expand market coverage.
8. Support the development of internal trading processes and market intelligence capabilities.

1. 7+ years of experience within base metals trading.
2. Strong understanding of global metals markets and supply chains.
3. Demonstrated track record of commercial success and/or P&L generation.
4. Established network across producers, merchants, consumers and market participants.
5. Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate in a growing business environment.
6. Ability to work independently and contribute to franchise development.
