Job Description - Senior Consultant

WATG is the world’s preeminent destination and hospitality design firm. We are employee-owned, home to more than 500 professionals globally, located remotely and in our offices in Atlantic City, California, Dallas, New York, Honolulu, London, Singapore, and Shanghai.

Our approach to design applies a hospitality ethos to the development of all shapes and sizes. From initial feasibility studies to finishing touches, we operate globally as an integrated, multidisciplinary practice. Along with our interior design studio, Wimberly Interiors, we specialize in hospitality, gaming + entertainment, urban + mixed-use, and high-end residential design.

We were founded in Honolulu in 1945, and the spirit of the islands taught us to focus on community strength, self-reliance, and sustainability, which we still prioritize today. We passionately believe that culture and heritage are the roots of long-term resilience. We stay true to our values of designing spaces that respect, protect, and enhance the natural magic of their surroundings while delivering long-term value for our clients and their communities.

WATG seeks a Senior Consultant for Advisory Services in Singapore.

ROLE

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and communicating strategies that enhance the performance and long-term value of hotel, branded residential, and leisure assets. The position is not purely analytical. The work produced will inform both design direction and investment strategy, shaping how projects evolve rather than simply evaluating them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaboratively plans and performs research and data collection activities
• Designs and supports engaging workshops with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders
• Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to determine the impact on the client’s development opportunity
• Uses interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration to ground all ideas in research insights and constraints
• Manages day-to-day operations for projects, including staffing, fee tracking, forecasting, and client meetings
• Working closely with the Director for Advisory Services, guides other analysts and team members on projects, encouraging original thinking and ensuring project alignment and success
• Understands geography, economics, and global affairs broadly
• Coordinates project administration and internal corporate support
• Helps strengthen and grow existing client relationships

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates are likely to come from diverse backgrounds, including development or asset management analysis, hotel valuations, consulting, or exiting hotel advisory roles. An established specialism in hotels, a passion for leisure and tourism, and a solid understanding of the hospitality sector would be highly beneficial.

• A degree in real estate, economics, tourism, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong organizational and analytical skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment under pressure
• Critical and creative thinker
• Clear communicator and presenter of ideas, findings, and points of view
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Highly numerate and competent with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet modeling
• Well-traveled with a broad understanding of geography, economics, and global affairs
• Organizational skills are essential, and good coordination of project administration and internal corporate support
• Second language is an advantage
