Job Description - Senior, Cost Accountant

Description
Key Responsibilities

Partner with Operations and business units to provide financial analysis, insights, and performance support.

Perform inventory flux, cost, and variance analysis to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and recommend actions.

Review manufacturing expenses with Operations and support cost control initiatives.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.

Analyze and allocate inventory, labor, overhead, and operating costs; prepare accurate cost reports.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses.

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and month-end closing activities.

Perform ad hoc financial analyses, reporting, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; ACCA or CIMA preferred.

3–5 years of relevant experience in costing, finance, accounting, or related areas.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; Power bi, Oracle and Hyperion knowledge preferred.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability.

Meticulous, proactive, and willing to take initiative in process improvement.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment.
