Senior Credit Evaluation Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Credit Evaluation Manager to join our team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating credit risk for applications submitted by various business units, ensuring all credit decisions align with regulatory standards and internal risk frameworks. You will play a key role in maintaining the bank’s credit quality, providing sound judgment on approvals, and safeguarding the Group’s financial integrity.

What you will be doing

• Provide credit risk evaluation of credit applications submitted by various business units and identify, address, and mitigate all pertinent credit risk issues

• Approve credit applications within the Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) or recommend to the next higher approving level in accordance with established approval frameworks

• Review and validate credit risk grades for applications from CORP, IB, CB & FIG, including affirming or overriding ratings with well-supported justification

• Ensure applications from PFS meet product parameters, credit guidelines, and regulatory requirements, or are adequately mitigated

• Evaluate and approve, reject, or recommend operational and administrative requests (e.g., variation of terms and conditions) across CORP, IB, CB, FIG & PFS segments

• Ensure all evaluations comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk governance standards

• Maintain high-quality credit assessments within agreed turnaround times

• Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory updates, and emerging credit risks to continuously enhance decision-making

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in credit evaluation, risk management, or related banking functions

• Solid understanding of corporate, investment, commercial, and retail banking credit frameworks

• Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities

• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and credit policies within Malaysia’s financial landscape

• High attention to detail with strong judgment and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
