Job Description - Senior Customer Service and Distribution Executive

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Dana SAC SEA- Power Technology Business is looking a Senior Customer Service and Distribution Executive to join our team. She/He will be responsible in supporting our General Manager by ensuring seamless order fulfillment and efficient shipment operations across our distribution centers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong customer service acumen, and a thorough understanding of inventory management, logistics and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfillment:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager in China to process and manage customer orders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of orders into the system.
  • Monitor order status and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Resolve any order discrepancies or issues promptly.

Shipment & Freight Forwarder Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of shipments from our distribution centers to customers.
  • Manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders for inbound, import, and export operations.
  • Negotiate shipping schedules and freight rates to ensure cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation for smooth international shipments.
  • Monitor performance metrics of freight forwarders and implement improvements as needed.

 

Customer Service:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order and shipment inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels across distribution centers to ensure product availability.
  • Coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock replenishments and transfers.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and reduce discrepancies.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance order fulfillment and distribution efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for order processing and shipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Qualifications:

 

Qualification and Skills:

  • Diploma /bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business Mgmt.
  • Min 5 - 8 years of related experience in logistics, customer service, material planning fields
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with knowledge in Navision would be an advantage.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and good team-player
  • Good verbal presentation and written communication skills both in English and Mandarin
  • Can work under the pressure.
