ID:\n\nJR92278 Senior Data Scientist, SMAI\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nAs a Data Science Engineer at Micron, you will employ techniques and theories drawn from areas of mathematics, statistics, semiconductor physics, materials science, and information technology to uncover patterns in data from which predictive models, actionable insights, and solutions can be developed.\n\nYou will interact with experienced Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Areas Engineers, and UX teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis projects and improvement of existing tools. In this position, you will help develop software programs, algorithms and/or automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. There will be significant opportunities to perform exploratory and new solution development activities.\n\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to:\n\n * Design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse \u201cbig data\u201d sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.\n * Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.\n * Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.\n * Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources.\n * Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.\n * Explore and apply new frontier ideas, concepts and technology to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.\n * Work with management, different departments, and global manufacturing sites to identify optimization opportunities and deliver solutions to continuously improve production metrics.\n * Drive global collaboration, alignment, and benchmarking of optimization and simulation solutions in planning \u0026 operations\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications \u0026 Skills Required:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or equivalent with demonstrated strong programming and modeling capabilities.\n * Past experience in semiconductor industry, especially in semiconductor operations digital twin\n * Working experience in semiconductor or manufacturing operations simulation modeling using discrete event simulation\n * Working experience in optimization modeling or Operations Research using sing mix integer programming, linear programming, etc.\n * Knowledge and past experience with cloud solutions, API, GIT, ETL\n * 3+ years of past experience in JAVA, Python, SQL, HTML, C/C++, CSS, and with demonstrated fast learning capacities in programing languages\n * Strong problem solving skills with structured \u0026 logic approaches, clear \u0026 effective communication skills\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nData Scientist 3 - Data Scientist 5\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
