Senior Design Manager

Job Summary

Lead and manage all design phases for assigned projects, ensuring space planning, 2D and 3D design, and documentation meet client and contractual requirements. Collaborate with teams, consultants, and clients to deliver high-quality hotel design solutions on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage all design phases of assigned projects, including space planning, detailing, and producing 2D and 3D designs to meet project requirements
• Collaborate with Design Directors, CAD, and FF&E teams to align designs with contractual agreements and client expectations
• Deliver project assignments within established deadlines, ensuring quality and completeness
• Coordinate and liaise effectively with clients and consultants to resolve design issues and ensure smooth project progress
• Prepare comprehensive presentation packages, including tender and construction documentation for assigned project areas
• Lead and advise design team members to enhance design quality and project outcomes
• Interpret specifications and layouts accurately to produce full sets of tender and construction drawings
• Apply professional knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Max, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office (PowerPoint) to support design development
• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and observation skills to facilitate teamwork and client engagement
• Apply a solid understanding of design principles including composition, planning, materials, details, furniture, and fixtures to create functional and aesthetic spaces
• Proactively identify and solve design challenges independently while managing heavy workloads and tight deadlines

Required competencies and certifications

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Architectural or Interior Design
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in conceptual and detailed hotel design

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience specifically in hotel designing
