Senior Designer (Commercial Interior)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative process to develop creative and innovative design concepts that align with the client’s requirements and project goals.
• Understand the customer’s needs and the needs of the people using the space to develop design concepts in consultation with HQ.
• Create “mood boards” to sample design vision.
• Produce design concepts, layout plans and 3D renderings for tenders as allocated by Team Lead/CD in HQ.
• Present design concepts through digital presentations to the working team (HQ), and selected clients.
• Develop awarded designs to final client approval/sign-off.
• Choose the most appropriate materials for the design and budget.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications and documentation that are required for construction and installation.
• Coordinate, as needed, with other project teams such as QS and PM to align on budget and project objectives.
• Manage several design projects simultaneously.
• To support other offices, as needed, with design services.
• Keep up with trends and innovations by staying updated on the latest design trends, materials, technologies.
• To eventually manage a team of designers locally as the team expands.
• Conduct site visits and researches ideas and materials.
• Inspect design after completion to determine whether objectives have been met.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent with significant experience in managing a range of design disciplines and design projects of varying scales.
• Skilled communicator who is able to communicate information effectively to a variety of individuals.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience with minimum of 3 years in a senior position.
• Knowledge of productions.
• Knowledge of 3D MAX, Auto-cad or similar programs.
• Independent, positive attitude & a strong sense of responsibility.
