Senior Electrical Engineer

Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer:

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and circuitry for specialized mobile equipment such as compactors, lifting systems, and vehicle-mounted machinery.
• Integrate electrical components including sensors, controllers, and wiring harnesses into vehicle bodies and chassis-based assemblies.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure effective electro-mechanical integration.
• Conduct diagnostics, system testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Ensure all designs meet applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
• Provide technical support to field installation teams, including remote or on-site troubleshooting.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to identify suitable components for electrical systems.
• Contribute to prototype development, field trials, and continuous product enhancement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• At least 6 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the mobile equipment or heavy vehicle sectors.
• Prior experience in the mobile waste handling or heavy vehicle industry.
• Familiarity with integration of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Strong working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems (12V/24V), CAN bus protocols, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control units.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally for site commissioning or technical support when required.
• Understanding of telematics, IoT integration, or vehicle tracking systems will be considered a plus.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Up to SGD 7,500 +VB (1 - 2 Months)
• Working Location: Kranji
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
