Job Summary

Design and manage electrical systems and projects ensuring compliance with Singapore standards. Coordinate with stakeholders, conduct testing and maintenance, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements to deliver reliable electrical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical system designs, including single-line diagrams, load schedules, and schematics to support project requirements
• Perform precise calculations for power distribution, earthing, lighting, and cable sizing to ensure system efficiency and safety
• Design low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical systems in compliance with Singapore standards and authorities such as EMA, SP Group, BCA, and SCDF
• Coordinate electrical works with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and vendors to align project deliverables and timelines
• Review technical drawings, material submissions, and method statements to verify compliance and quality standards
• Monitor project progress through site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets specifications
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems, switchboards, generators, UPS, and related equipment to validate operational readiness
• Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and implement corrective actions to maintain system reliability
• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical assets to minimize downtime
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with SS 638 (formerly CP5), EMA Licensing, and relevant regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and apply safety engineering principles to mitigate hazards during electrical works
• Ensure electrical works adhere to workplace safety standards under the WSH Act

Required competencies and certifications

• Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and electrical code compliance
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar electrical modelling tools

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong understanding of power distribution, electrical protection, load flow, and system reliability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
