Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Rapid Progression

OSIM is looking for a responsible Embedded Software Engineer with team spirit to develop Communication Daughter Cards (CDC) in our IoT products.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mobile Engineer, Backend Engineer, UX designer, and CDC Vendor in a digital team to develop wireless communication firmware on PCB for IOT products
• Develop new feature for different type, such as WIFI, BlueTooth, ZigBee, 2G, and versions of CDC
• Do code review for vendor and other team members on embedded software code basing on Github
• Maintain existing code base and provide bug fixes
• Analyse, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the CDC system
• Involve in schematic and PCB design process
• Work with a variety of microcontroller, SDK and communication protocol
• Work closely with team members to ensure the project is delivered on time

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering
• Familiar with Agile (Scrum) team cooperation process
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
• Proficient in C, C++ programming in MCU and Linux environment
• Familiar with Git software version control
• Strong verbal communication and writing skills in English and Mandarin as there will be needs to communicate with our China team of developers.
• Able to read schematics and datasheets
• Experience in developing and troubleshooting on embedded products
• Experience with wireless network stack such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee, Cellular, etc
