This role supports the full project lifecycle including design, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and sustaining operations.\n\nThe position partners with global and regional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while advancing innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across Micron\u2019s global network. \n\n\n## Main Responsibilities\n\n * Lead construction engineering activities for semiconductor facilities across design, construction, commissioning, and operations phases\n * Provide technical engineering support to construction teams to drive project execution and operational excellence\n * Manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality to meet project and business requirements\n * Support large-scale greenfield fab projects across U.S. and Asia, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements\n * Review engineering design packages and provide timely, documented feedback\n * Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues during project execution\n * Support cost estimation, scheduling, and business case development\n * Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment with project goals\n * Drive continuous improvement in construction practices with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and sustainability\n\n\n\n## Other Responsibilities\n\n * Build effective collaboration across facilities, procurement, manufacturing, IT, and operations teams\n * Communicate project updates, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders and leadership\n * Identify risks, escalate issues proactively, and recommend mitigation strategies\n * Support root cause analysis and technical problem-solving across global sites\n * Contribute to development and standardization of Best Known Methods (BKMs)\n * Drive alignment of engineering priorities with global facilities strategies\n * Lead or support capacity planning and scenario analysis across site networks\n * Support sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate goals\n\n\n\n## AI Responsibilities\n\n * Integrate AI-assisted tools into engineering and project workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and decision-making\n * Identify opportunities to apply AI-driven insights in construction engineering, data analysis, and project planning\n * Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled best practices within the team\n\n\n\n## Candidate Profile / Job Requirements\n\n### Minimum Required Qualifications / Experience\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Building Services, or related field.\n * Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5 years supporting construction projects.\n * Strong semiconductor facilities and process systems design experience (Cleanroom HVAC, CHW, PCW, Exhaust, CDA, Vacuum, etc.).\n * Experience working in EPCM project environments.\n * Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical designs.\n * Experience in project execution, including cost control, scheduling, commissioning, and handover.\n * Strong knowledge of construction engineering practices within semiconductor or similar industries.\n * Excellent technical problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.\n * Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership abilities.\n * Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.\n * Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and AI literacy to utilize AI-enabled tools for engineering analysis, problem-solving, and operational efficiency\n\n\n\n### Highly Desirable / Preferred Skills or Experience\n\n * Professional certification or membership in a recognized engineering body\n * Experience working on semiconductor fab or large industrial projects\n * Experience in greenfield construction projects\n * Knowledge of sustainability practices in construction and facilities\n * Experience working across global or regional teams \n\n\n\n\n## Embody Micron\u2019s Core Values\n\n * People \u2013 Respect, develop, and empower others\n * Innovation \u2013 Drive continuous improvement\n * Tenacity \u2013 Demonstrate resilience and determination\n * Collaboration \u2013 Build strong partnerships\n * Customer Focus \u2013 Deliver excellence and value\n\n\n\nAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
