Senior / Engineer (Manufacturing - Fast Hire

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Lead the daily production staff meeting to ensure that daily issues are resolved
• Set daily targets and oversee the execution
• Monitor shift reports and output, and actual results for the day
• Identify any shortfalls, analyze causes and develop the recovery plan
• Manage the delivery of daily delivery plan
• Develop and monitor plans for man and machine allocation
• Develop and monitor plans for effective inventory/ material control (ensure it is not “over drawn”)
• Assist in preparing the budget by providing required information
• Coordinate with shift supervisors to ensure execution of plan
• In case of any variances, analyze causes and take corrective action
• Ensure appropriate training is provided to staff
• Monitor, investigate  and address quality issues (internal / customer complaints) by gathering required information from relevant teams (machine information, staff interviews, product checking) and identifying root cause if production related
• Liaise with Quality Assurance members to address and resolve issues
• Prepare detailed reports on all quality issues
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Leadand contribute to continuous improvement projects
• Liaise with other BUs to coordinate improvement projects and ensure horizontal deployment
• Ensure compliance training is provided to new staff
• Prepare / approve documents as per various ISO and other systems
• Ensure all documented processes are adhered to by staff
• Ensure all documents are available for audit and facilitate the audit process
• Lead follow-up action required as a result of any audit findings
• Assistin preparing investment and budget plan for introduction of new type/machine
• Provide recommendations and information for investment and budget plans
• Assist in developing the schedule for introduction
