Senior / Engineer, Technical & Coordination - Energetic Workplace

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all technical coordination including investigation and analysis, responsible care, quality management system among SCA & Sumitomo companies internal/external parties and provide guidance to team members for related works. Responsible for Quality Assurance jobs and activities for MMA & PMMA products in cooperation with related external parties. You will work in a team-oriented environment and leading a team that accelerates operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities: 

• Mentoring the team member to prepare utility consumptions forecast among Sumitomo companies and to ensure consistency and manage utility within supplier capability.
• Smooth coordination within Sumitomo companies/related parties to support smooth development of new grade product (PMMA). 
• Coordination on the status project and modification works for new product release for PMMA.  
• Coordination work within Sumitomo companies related projects and assisting HSE in their application and responsible care activities. 
• Initiate and coordinate with internal/external parties on quality related meeting and to comply the quality specifications to SCA products, raw material and Sumitomo companies utilities. 
• Lead the team member to organize customer satisfaction survey and coordinate investigation for corresponding customer inquiries from Sales and Procurement team. 
• Initiating and coordinating the investigation for customer complaint and product quality issue including the investigation results to feedback on improvement for QAPL activities. 
• Monitor the chemical regulations status of (Reach, Rohs, UL, FDA etc) for SCA products and ensure the compliances to several standards. Lead the team member to organize the necessary actions to 3rd party analysis for certification, registrations, survey etc. 
• Implement system to ensure surveys from sales are complete and to comply declaration standard. 
• Develop and manage together with team member to establish good ISO system (EQMS).
• Coordinate with internal/external parties for work processes in ISO standard and ensure items raised are closed by respective in-charge.
• Evaluate and review the SMM and SMP energy saving plan and its results as well to assess the improvement plan from operation plant. 
• Management Representative of EQMR to monitor and summarize performance status of EQMS activities and report to top management.
• Initiate and conduct Service Provider audit and follow up the closure of the action.
• Arrange the Quality management committee meeting and share the information related QMS among SCA members. Arrange the Quality Patrol meeting and share its result and feed back to the QMS. 
• Establish close communications with Jurong Island companies and service providers.
• Coordinate Sumitomo complex meeting and ensure follow ups on the items raised.
• Oversee all transactions reporting, invoices for utilities in Sumitomo Companies for consumptions accuracy. Review and organize corrective measures among Sumitomo companies in collaboration with respective parties for implementation.
• Oversee inventory balances and transaction report for our raw materials and products. To organize technical investigation together with respective members and rectify it for any abnormality observed.

Requirements: 

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Preferably with 2 years in petrochemical/oil and gas/pharmaceutical industries
• Good working knowledge in Quality Assurance and ISO standards especially in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Quality Assurance and Quality Control contract agreement management
• Well versed in Chemical Regulations (Reach, RoHS, GHS etc) and SAP knowledge. 
• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Effective team coordinator to cope with executing multiple tasks within planned schedule. 
• Ability to work independently and lead a team, self-initiative, good problem solving skills and meticulous.
• Available to start work immediately or short notice period will be added advantage.
