Senior Engineering Manager - Room for Advancement

Job SummaryThe Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware solutions for inspection systems in the semiconductor industry. The role involves team leadership, hands-on engagement with technology, strategic planning, all to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet industry standards and client expectations.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, and ensuring continuous learning and development.
• Product Development: Oversee the development of innovative software and hardware solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable products.  Be lead Software architect and ensure our high level of software quality is maintained.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of products.
• Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel, budget, and time, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches to solve complex problems.
• Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges and develop solutions that meet their requirements and exceed their expectations.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for technology development and product delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on software and hardware development for inspection systems in the semiconductor industry, and latest role in manager or higher.
• Proficient in software architecting and experienced in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.
• Familiar with Agile development processes, with a proven record of implementing Agile methodologies to improve product development cycles and enhance product quality.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor inspection technologies, industry standards, and market trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a hands-on approach to technology and a passion for innovation.

•    Strong interpersonal skills to manage and range of stakeholders including maintaining excellent relationships across the Regional Sales teams, and understanding cultural sensitivities.

• Excellent influencer with experience managing remote international teams.

•    Excellent written and verbal communications skills at all levels.

•    Highly proactive with the ability to make decisions and drive all areas of the business.

•    Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
