Our technology starts with you.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n1\\. Equipment Ownership \u0026 Uptime\n\n * Serve as primary owner for assigned tools, such as Trymax and Axcelis tools\n * Maintain and continuously improve OEE, MTBF, and MTTR targets.\n * Develop and maintain equipment health monitoring and baseline control (SPC, FDC, fault codes, alarms).\n * Drive daily tool performance reviews, documenting issues, actions, and recovery plans.\n\n\n\n2\\. Maintenance \u0026 Troubleshooting\n\n * Plan, execute, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to OEM recommendations and fab strategies.\n * Perform complex troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, vacuum, RF, gas delivery, and software subsystems.\n * Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic and high\u2011impact issues using structured methods (8D, Fishbone, 5\u2011Why, etc.).\n * Coordinate and supervise vendor field service engineers (FSEs) and contractors during major interventions, upgrades, and rebuilds.\n\n\n\n3\\. Process / Equipment Interaction\n\n * Work closely with process engineering to ensure equipment performance supports CD, profile, uniformity, selectivity, and defectivity requirements.\n * Analyze tool logs, SPC charts, metrology data, and wafer maps to correlate equipment conditions with yield and parametric performance.\n * Support process qualifications, chamber swaps, hardware changes, and recipe releases.\n * Ensure correct implementation and maintenance of chamber matching between AMAT and TEL tools.\n\n\n\n4\\. Continuous Improvement \u0026 Cost Reduction\n\n * Identify and implement improvement projects to increase uptime, extend parts lifetime, and reduce operating cost.\n * Optimize consumables usage and spare parts strategy (buffer stock, repair vs. replace, refurbishment plans).\n * Participate in or lead CIP / Lean / Six Sigma projects for productivity and quality enhancement.\n * Support capacity upgrades (chamber additions, throughput improvement, software enhancements).\n\n\n\n5\\. Documentation, Procedure \u0026 Training\n\n * Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for AMAT SuperE, AMAT DPS.\n * Document all events, alarms, interventions, and changes in the equipment history system (EHS/CMMS).\n * Provide technical training and coaching to equipment technicians, junior engineers, and shift personnel.\n * Ensure compliance with change management process for hardware, software, and recipe modifications.\n\n\n\n6\\. Safety \u0026 Compliance\n\n * Ensure all activities follow EHS regulations, company safety rules, and cleanroom protocols.\n * Conduct and support risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and safety audits for gas, chemical, RF, and high\u2011voltage systems.\n * Support compliance with ISO/Automotive/Quality Management Systems as applicable.\n\n\n\nJob Requirements\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical \u0026 Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent\n * Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor Etch area, familiar with Etch Equipment (Trymax, Axcelis)\n * Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye to details\n * High degree of interpersonal skills and able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams\n * Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D methodologies.\n\n\n\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
