Senior Exec, Technical Advisor (Automotive Industry)

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on and technically strong Senior Technical Advisor Executive to support workshop operations, technical capability development, and warranty processes across automotive service operations.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong automotive technical knowledge who enjoy problem-solving, training, and collaborating with workshops and stakeholders to ensure service quality and operational excellence.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide technical diagnostic and troubleshooting support to workshop teams, helping resolve complex vehicle issues and minimise operational downtime.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for workshop operations and support technical issue resolution.
• Conduct or coordinate vehicle test drives to validate customer concerns and technical findings when required.

Training & Capability Development

• Plan and conduct technical, product, and warranty training programmes for technicians, service advisors, and workshop teams.
• Deliver training on technical knowledge, product updates, warranty procedures, and customer-facing soft skills for frontline service personnel.
• Support continuous capability building to improve workshop technical competency and service standards.

Warranty & Compliance

• Manage warranty documentation, submissions, and claims processes in accordance with manufacturer and internal standards.
• Conduct warranty audits to ensure compliance with technical procedures, service standards, and claim requirements.
• Support recall and technical documentation administration.

Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal teams, workshop personnel, and external stakeholders to support day-to-day workshop operations.
• Coordinate procurement and management of workshop-related tools, equipment, and consumables where required.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customer-facing teams to ensure accurate communication of vehicle concerns and solutions.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive technical support, workshop operations, diagnostics, or supervisory roles.
• Strong hands-on technical diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Prior experience in technical training, warranty administration, or workshop technical support will be advantageous.
• Comfortable engaging with both technical teams and customers/stakeholders.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
