RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain a prominent profile with clients/intermediaries
• Develop new and existing sales opportunities to meet growth targets
• Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with the Company's Risk Management and Reinsurance guidelines
• Undertake credit control ensuring the standard for debtor days are strictly adhered to
• Provide a technical reference point for queries
• Carry out quality assurance checks and assist in training of less experienced staff
• Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

• Tertiary qualification, preferably with a professional insurance qualification e.g. ACII
• Minimum Certificate in General Insurance

• Operational experience in general insurance environment
• Business development
• Marketing and Presentation skills
• Sound knowledge in underwriting, reinsurance and risk management
• Good communications/negotiation skills
