Job Description - Senior Executive, Conference & Partnership Office [LKCMedicine]

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

The Conference and Partnership Office will spearhead high‑impact events and strategic collaborations that elevate the medical school’s global visibility and reputation. We seek a dynamic professional with strong MICE industry experience who can build systems, partnerships, and flagship conferences from the ground up. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, operational excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑oriented academic environment.

The Senior Executive for the Conference and Partnership Office (Office) provides essential operational and administrative support for the academic events and international engagements of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. This role focuses on the planning and logistical execution of conferences, symposia, and partnership engagement, ensuring all activities are organized efficiently and professionally. The Senior Executive supports the Office in driving the School’s reputation and visibility locally, regionally and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end conference planning and administration, including registration, procurement, branding, marketing, audit, legal agreements, accreditations, abstracts, logistics, documentation, etc.

  • Coordinate with entire conference team to drive impactful content for the conferences, including scientific programme curation, speaker invitations, abstract management, and any other related scientific activities.

  • Conceptualize and manage high-profile social and networking events (e.g., Gala dinners, opening ceremonies).

  • Implement partnership and sponsorship strategies to drive long-term support from academic and industrial partners.

  • Managing the production of digital and print collateral to ensure brand alignment.

  • Facilitate and manage education workshops and programmes for the conferences.

  • Facilitate and manage strategic research partnerships emerging from conference interactions, tracking collaborative outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • At least three (3) years of relevant working experience involving conference / event management, communications, external relations, education / research management.

  • Strong understanding of conference management and academic partnerships. Demonstrable track record in planning or execution of international conference / engagement initiatives for higher education / healthcare sectors would be of advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with senior management, faculty, and external partners.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

This is a 2-year contract appointment. We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
